Tribute to the late Dr. William Ebomoyi, PhD, MPH

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we learned of the passing of Dr. William Ebomoyi PhD MPH.  Since the late 1970’s, Dr. Ebomoyi was a volunteer/member of Appeal for Charities & Goodwill Inc. (Appeal or ACGI).  Dr. Ebomoyi started at Appeal as a community member with an interest in leading our Health Outreach committee.  As William acquired advanced degrees in Public Health Sciences, he gradually achieved many leadership roles as Health Consultant/Director.   In 2008, he became the Ambassador of ACGI’s Health Outreach Services.

While Dr. Ebomoyi was in his early pursuit of his many academic accolades and acclaims, he was embraced by the family of the late Missionary P.A. Osei-Bonsu – Founder of Appeal for Charities.  Remarkably, as Dr. Ebomoyi accomplished his professional talents, he in-kind started many initiatives to train and educate our patrons, and our staff in expanding the vast roles of health programming. Dr. Ebomoyi’s health initiatives became health programs that advanced our outreach services and instituted a legacy of community engagement.  These selfless acts championed health equity and access especially within the lives of growing families.

Privately and professionally, we knew that his passion for Public Health Science was only unmatched by his tremendous love for his family.  In bereavement, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of the late Dr. Ebomoyi.  As we mourn, we also celebrate the tremendous legacy that William left.  We are thankful to God, our Father for the exemplary life of Dr. Ebomoyi.  Dr. Ebomoyi, may your soul rest in eternal peace.

With our love and sympathy,

Mrs. Charlotte Osei-Bonsu – Co Founder, Appeal for Charities and Goodwill Inc.
