Missions of Peace
Youth Summer
For youth between the ages of 6 – 24, Missions of PEACE serves as a community enrichment site with programs designed by youths. Youth that are looking for…. and are willing to develop…. rewarding projects are invited to promote local peace, peer-to-peer counseling (peace circles), building partnerships, mentorship, online journalism/publication, social research, and most importantly the development of peace rallies.
Our youth led group projects are designed to create activities toward the reduction in local violence, social malaise, and poor choices. Our youth participants will be involved in the discovery, choice, and planning of Peace Rally Activities. In addition, the collective Youth will vote on choices for inviting local professionals that will provide PEACE speeches, mini symposiums and/or mini workshops. Youth will lead in the production of peace workshops.
The Peace speeches, mini- symposiums and workshops will be lead by youth -elected professionals. The elected professionals are experts from Peace Building Communities as follows: Community action groups. Academia. Mental health counseling. Social service groups that promote community Well Being. Public Safety Officials.
Community Awareness/Journalism in Humanity/PEACE groups.
To encourage youth engagement, our programming at Missions of Peace provides certificates, monetary incentives and/or gifts. 3 youths will be recruited and compensated as Lead Peace Mentors. Youth will lead as Peace Mentors, Peace Magnates and Peace Workers promoting, creating, and welcoming Peace in there lives.
